Join the Trail Committee of the Appalachian Mountain Clubs Connecticut Chapter on Saturday, June 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
for a day of mowing.
The mowing of tall grasses along the Appalachian Trail helps to protects hikers from ticks and enhances beautiful scenery. The day will also include cutting back over grown vegetation on the sides of the Trail and other essential maintenance along the A.T. While a mower will be in use there is still a need for plenty of extra hands to help.
Please be sure to bring plenty of water (2-3 liters) and a snacks for the day, a lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, and a rain jacket.
